Kodiak Women’s Resource Center
The Kodiak Women’s Resource and Crisis Center provides emergency housing for Victims of Domestic Violence and/or Sexual Assault. Persons in need of immediate help or need someone to talk to can receive help by calling our Crisis Line to speak to a trained advocate or volunteer. Local: 907-486-3625 or Toll Free: 1-888-486-3625. The line is available 24 hours a day. Callers need not give names. Other services provided by KWRCC are confidential advocacy, legal advocacy, both individual and group counseling, support groups, community education/ outreach, rural outreach and referrals to other sources, such as health, housing, counseling, and employment services are also provided.
Salvation Army + Kodiak Island Food Bank
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
Kodiak Island Food Bank is available to the public and managed by the Kodiak Salvation Army.
Brother Francis Shelter
Brother Francis Shelter, a program of Catholic Social Services, is an emergency shelter for men and women in Kodiak, AK without a home. We serve the homeless with dignity, care, compassion and with an emphasis on moving our guests toward self-sufficiency.
Kodiak Baptist Mission
Offering multiple programs for both children and adults to connect with nature, as well as experience activities from horseback riding to discussions of the Bible. Preschool and after school programs are available during the school year. Summer programs and camps are also available. KBM has a long history of service in the Kodiak community that started in 1893.
